Additional information

The polarization reconfigurable antenna has led to the collaborations with a UK based company L3-TRL (D. Benton). A PhD co-funded by L-3 TRL has been set up to explore and implement the re-configurable technique in the company's next generation products in broadband spectrum surveillance for direction finding and electronic counter measures. This innovation supports any stand-off RF sensing system that has to operate over multiple frequency bands but the platform size, weight and power limitations preclude the use of multiple antennas. Invited to organise a session "Antennas for Modern Wireless Communications" in the IEEE AES 2012.
