Additional information
The original / research portion of this work details (for the first time) a precise process / protocol for conducting a proteomics analysis on developing neural tissues. The paper provides an understanding of the relationship between the expression of particular proteins and normal (or abnormal) development of the central nervous system. This was an important goal for research funded by the Parkinson’s Disease UK (#R4504-A126), and served as “proof of principle” for MA Gates to obtain further funding from the Henry Smith Trust (#R4504-B292). MA Gates was lead author on this paper.
