Iordanova's involvement with the volume was conceptual leadership, creating the structure, building a network with academics and practitioners, commissioning, editing, and then promoting the book. The volume has been presented in the context of various film festivals (including the largest Asian festival at Busan, South Korea). The book is being translated into Chinese (forthcoming 2014, Beijing). Her introduction is widely referenced in further scholarship, particularly related to Asian film culture. Based on this volume, she has been invited to give talks and keynotes — two of those forthcoming are at Hong Kong University and NYU/Abu Dhabi.
