Additional information

This work was nominated for a KTP Best Partnership Award at the KTP Scotland Awards 2012 and, following an investigation into a range of gel materials, Samsung approved the use of the transducer for its Sound Station (the speaker docking unit for the Company’s Galaxy Tablet). Future developments within SFX Technologies Limited (the collaborating company) include an active vibration cancellation and energy harvesting system by applying the operating principle of the gel-type transducer.
