Janaway wrote the introduction, contributed very substantially to the translation, and did the lion's share of the editorial work on this new edition of Schopenhauer's magnum opus. It is part of the Cambridge Edition of Schopenhauer's works, of which Janaway is the General Editor. He has also introduced, translated and edited 'The Two Fundamental Problems of Ethics' (2009), and co-translated and co-edited 'On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason' (2012). Three further volumes are in preparation.
