Additional information

Paper describes fundamentally new method for measurement of structural vibration using scanned, as opposed to fixed, transducers. The method yields order-of-magnitude increase in information in order-of-magnitude less time than all traditional methods and paper has become seminal reference work. Central topic in Ewins' keynote at 9th International Conference on Vibration Measurements by Laser Techniques (Italy, 2008). Method is in industrial use at Rolls-Royce [contact: ‎Vibration Specialist]. Led to new funding for applications to rotorcraft via AgustaWestland/TSB Contract (No. 110058, £150k, 2010-4) [contact: Principal Dynamicist, AgustaWestland].
