Additional information

Third Order Elastic Constants (TOECs) measured using non-linear ultrasonic techniques offer high sensitivity to early-stage fatigue and creep damage. However, making repeatable quantitative measurements of TOECs is exceedingly difficult and paper establishes mathematical and measurement framework in which to do this. Paper led to Croxford's invitation to Visiting Professor position at Beihang University (Beijing, China).
