Additional information

The first ever work introducing the concept of harvesting useful signal power from interference, to achieve power efficiency at the base station transmitters. This work demonstrates a reduction in transmission power by a factor of 2 compared to conventional techniques for a given performance, for a wireless link employing 10 transmit and 10 receive antennas. This highly cited paper for its age (28 citations on Google Scholar), was the basis for obtaining a prestigious 5-year RAEng Research Fellowship of £550k on Interference Exploitation.
