Additional information

The principles described in the paper were incorporated into an invited chapter in a book on skin cancer diagnosis, “Computer Vision Technology for Skin Cancer Diagnosis”, Edited by M. Emre Celebi. This technique has now been incorporated into a photometric stereo device in use at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, for “small scale” patient trials.
