Incoherent Two-Dimensional Array Modulation Transceiver for Photonic CDMA
This research focused on a new two-dimensional (2D) optical modulation technique to increase the security and efficiency of the incoherent optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) networks. The proposed 2D array transceiver consists of (i) incoherent detection, (ii) immunity against the self- and cross-phase modulations due to constant power of polarization shift keying, and also (iii) insensitivity of frequency shift keying against the laser phase noise. This novel frequency-polarization shift keying modulation that enhances the overall OCDMA networks performance was the first 2D approach in OCDMA and as a result we were invited to contribute a book chapter published by Springer.
