Performance Analysis of Enhanced-MPC in Incoherent Synchronous Optical CDMA
This work introduced a new spreading code family for applications in incoherent synchronous optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) communication networks. The novel code set maintained the correlation properties of the well-established legendry prime codes families while the code-length increased. The overall system bit-error rate is evaluated and compared with the existing prime code families in three different receiver architectures namely (i) with a multiple-user interference (MUI) canceler, (ii) with the MUI canceler as well as Manchester encoding and (iii) without the MUI canceler. The proposed novel coding scheme resulted in significantly enhanced network capacity and improved the BER performance.
