Additional information

<22> This paper addresses how to incorporate with domain statistics in designing evolutionary algorithms to optimise engineering design problems. In fact, engineering design problems such as car-door design use real-world data and are extremely hard, hence require more domain specific information in optimisation process. We have used main-effect analysis to incorporate with the domain information while optimising the car-door design problem using evolutionary algorithms. The proposed method was developed as part of a PhD study and successfully applied to many other industrial problems including car-door design and attracted so many citations within 3 years
