This work was carried out in the context of Marie Curie Knowledge Transfer Programme (GAWIND) and Swiss Hasler Foundation in collaboration with the Universities of Fribourg and Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (UASWS). The introduced novel resource discovery topology is based on Prof Bessis earlier works on grid VOs and trust and on two earlier best paper awards (INTERNET-2009; FGIT/GDC-2009). This work led to a University of Derby PhD research studentship, its PhD thesis completion (Dr. Sotiriadis in 2013) and an Erasmus agreement between University of Derby and UASWS leading to staff and research students’ mobility (i.e. Kuonen, Sotiriadis, 2011/12).
