Additional information

Paper presents results from full-scale laboratory characterisation of semi-active damper demonstrator. Main fundamental contribution of paper is confirmation of mechanism generating higher-harmonic forces through semi-active modulation with particular frequency content. This has practical use for vibration control in helicopters, as evidenced by AgustaWestland continuing concept towards flight demonstrations via joint-funded TSB project [contact: Technical Leader - Active Rotors].
