Additional information

<06>This research is the first to study how to estimate distributions fairness in internet-scale systems. This has numerous applications, from resource utilization and load balancing, to bet distributions and investments in online games. The paper proposed new metrics and a solid theoretical and experimental foundation for accurately and efficiently estimating fairness of distributions. It was published at ACM TOIT, which is a top-notch journal for internet research. The ACM DL shows >450 downloads. An early much-abridged version of it was published at the top-notch IEEE ICDE 2007 Conference (with acceptance rate of 18%) and has been highly cited.
