<19> This paper details the successful outcomes of a continuing research collaboration with BT labs in the area of robust speaker verification. The study was motivated by the need for the enhanced accuracy in speaker verification under severe mismatched noise conditions. The investigations led to the introduction of a novel method capable of addressing the above challenge by providing a close adjustment of the reference speaker models to the noise condition in the received test utterance. This outcome is a major step forward in the deployment of speaker verification in real-world applications involving operating in uncontrolled environments.
