A set of new analytical bounds on the capacity of fixed-gain amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying systems are presented. The derived bounds are generic since they apply to a wide range of popular fading channel models. These results embrace a long sequence of previous results, in the hot area of relaying networks, as special cases. This joint work with researchers from China and Greece is currently established as fundamental in the above mentioned research field.
