Power Allocation Strategies across N Orthogonal Channels at Both Source and Relay
Describes a power limitation issue of wireless relay-network with one source, relay and destination, where nodes communicate via orthogonal channels (e.g., OFDM integrated into various wireless standards (e.g., IEEE 802.16j, LTE-A)). This work describes the design, and properties of the first ever optimal power allocation strategies at both the source and relay using a newly idenfied symmetry property . Unlike existing iterative optimization approaches, the optimal power allocation for both the source and relay to be determined via a single computational run. Results show enormous potential of using the found symmetry to maximize the source-destination capacity under power constraints.
