Additional information

This work demonstrated how the already ultra low power performance of the (then) draft IEEE Body Area Network standard (802.15.6) could be significantly improved on through the use of a novel synchronisation scheme. It has applicability to Body Area Networks or other wireless sensor networks (WSNs) with low sampling rates. The paper used a combination of analytical analysis and numerical simulation to demonstrate this new approach.
