Additional information

Here we described a new class of frequency selective surface that has the ability to endow discontinuous phase across its aperture. This gives an extra degree of freedom to quasi-optics designers in respect of exit beam shaping and beam manipulation. Using the technology we have substantially enhanced the area of flat microwave optics and concepts are currently being further developed under a contract with ESA/ Astrium Toulouse (Project manager) for next generation Low Loss Frequency Selective Surfaces for Ku and Ka Band .
