Additional information

First reported phase-conjugating architecture that can perform real time Inmarsat tracking. The architecture is modular and scaling it to larger 1-D and 2-D arrays is straightforward and facilitates for the first time robust retrodirective array deployment in real-life scenarios such as automatic tracking of low earth satellites, or unstabilized platform communications, e.g., UAV to UAV. The architecture is currently under evaluation by the European Space Agency for mobile broadband applications. The work was awarded an EPSRC follow on fund grant, 2011, EP/JO13897/1, and was winner of the 2011 25K NI Science Park Entrepreneurship contest.
