Additional information

<20> Dr Haidar is the main security expert contributing to this research. He was the principle architect of the security mechanisms deployed in the user- friendly Application Hosting Environment (AHE) graphical interface to run computational applications on grid resources. The security solution he embodied in the AHE interface was specifically designed to overcome usability issues encountered in other existing tools such as Globus and Unicore. AHE is now used worldwide by several e-science groups. His implemented solution, AHE with Audited Credential Delegation (ACD), was rated as the most usable in the paper. This work was supported by multi-million pound EPSRC/EU grants.
