Additional information

This paper, in collaboration with University of Hannover, enhances basic understanding of photocatalysts as applied to environmental problems, specifically related to removal of cyanotoxins from water. The paper provides further elucidation of the rate determining process of the photocatalytic decomposition process and undermines the idea that oxygen reduction is rate determining and this has implications in designing photocatalytic reactor processes. To date there has been fewer than six papers published on kinetic isotope studies on photocatalytic processes, three of which have been published by RGU.
