This output illustrates a novel photocatalytic slurry reactor using a model pollutant in an aqueous suspension which is vital for the water treatment capability, significantly a pellet TiO2 catalyst was employed which freed the system from the need of catalyst filtration following photocatalysis. The original idea for this work was a Proof of Concept project funded by Scottish Enterprise and produced a patent (WO2005033016). From this, funding towards an MRes was secured, and this led to collaborative work through an innovation voucher with Greenthread Ltd.
