Abstract (Italian language output) The paper discusses the choice of the suitable remedy in dealing with recurrent network-based abuses in vertically-integrated firms, based on analysis of the most recent cases of abuses of dominant position in the electronic communications sector. It investigates what sanction is preferable against anticompetitive practices: fines, (vertical) functional separation or even structural separation? The chapter is based on finding a cooperative solution, such as commitments favouring functional or even structural solutions, to enhance not only competition but also consumer welfare.
