Additional information

Much effort has focused on dispersing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in polymers, properties of such composites are ultimately determined by the effects of secondary processing on morphology. Localization of CNTs throughout the polymer post-secondary processing has not been studied in detail. This paper reports the effect of quasi- and solid state uniaxial and biaxial deformation on CNT localization in a PET and correlates resultant structure with composite properties, including crystallization behaviour, now being utilised by Dr Ingo Alig (ingo.alig@lbf.fraunhofer.de). The work has also led to invitations as Plenary speaker at www.ecnp-eu.org/dresden2014/speakers.php and Keynote speaker at www.techconnectworld.com/Nanotech2014/sym/Composite_Materials, the world’s largest nanotechnology conference.
