Additional information

Cognitive radio is a promising solution to the spectrum scarcity problem caused by the conflict between spectrum congestion and spectrum under- utilization. In this paper, a cutting-edge analysis of spectrum sensing using recovered secondary frames is analyzed, taking the decoding errors into account. The proposed outperforms conventional models when the number of transmitted secondary frames is below a certain threshold. The results provide detailed guidelines for the choice of parameters for best performance in practice, making it relevant to practitioners as well as the academic community.
