Additional information

<22> This paper develops a new advanced technique for enhancement of speech signals in noisy environments. The significance of this paper is that for the first time the Sparse Code Shrinkage enhancement method is used with multiple statistical models of speech signals in order to better account for the variety of the speech sounds. It is demonstrated that this achieves significant performance improvements. This work is one of the outcomes of £356k EPSRC funding.
