Double-weighted statement

This is a 288 page book with 11 chapters. It reports on a programme of methodological development undertaken from 2005 to 2011, supported by a range of funders including the ESRC. I am the lead author of the whole book and specifically of chapters 1, 3 and 11. Along with Sandy Oliver and James Thomas I was highly involved in the intellectual contribution and the writing of each chapter. The book examines and develops the diverse range of methodologies for mapping and synthesizing both empirical and conceptual research to argue for a more integrated fusion of primary and secondary research.
