Additional information

<22>This article presents the first functional and implemented variant of the magic set technique for disjunctive datalog. This work is the first to exploit non-deterministic language aspects in an optimisation. The method is proved to be correct and shown to be very effective in an extensive experimental analysis. The technique has been used in the ontology system KAON2 of the University of Karlsruhe. The results of the paper were key to the success of the European project INFOMIX on data integration.
