This work was carried out as part of a HEFCE Promising Research Fellowship in collaboration with Loughborough University. It has contributed to the development of an EPSRC CASE project (CASE/CAN/05/74) with Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology (Cancer Research UK Fellow, CCO). This work has led to a successful industrially sponsored research project (Ren, £41K, 2010-2013) in predicting the behaviour of polymer foams in sports footwear and in modelling the damage of metatarsals bones (Product Development Manager, Anta, China), leading to an industrial patent granted to the industrial user (CN102488352A, 27/12/2011-26/12/2031, Product Development Manager, Anta).
