<04>This paper investigates high-efficiency cooperative retransmissions in wireless regenerative multi-relay networks by removing duplicate retransmissions across all nodes and relays. The proposed cooperative retransmission scheme is realised through relay cooperation and binary XOR operations, to produce a more power-efficient system with non-overlapping retransmissions. Thorough analysis, in terms of error probability of retransmission decisions at the source and relays and the average number of packets to be retransmitted at the source and relays, has been conducted and verified by simulations. The proposed cooperative retransmission scheme improves the reliability of the retransmissions, reduces the number of retransmissions and removes overlapping retransmitted packets.
