Additional information

This paper reports a multi-technique investigation of one of the iron-pnictides. Coexistence of magnetism and superconductivity is explained by micron-scale electronic phase separation. In addition to those materials that have phase co-existence on a nanoscopic scale, these findings indicate that mesoscopic phase separation can also be considered an intrinsic property of some iron pnictide superconductors. Part of a wider international collaborative project on this class of materials and work presented at invited colloquia. The work has been presented at a number of other conferences and workshops (e.g. DFG March Meeting, 2010).
