Additional information

This article reports on the findings of a study into the ‘picture’ of disability and impairment emplaced on school’s intranet and internet sites. The originality and rigour of this work is based upon the employment of an innovative and unique methodological framework to the novel analysis of third wave technology employed within the applied educational setting. The new methodological framework emplaced is that of a synthesis of historical archaeology and colonisation which provides the paper with an imaginative theoretical underpinning.

The significance of the work lies in the application of new methodology and in the lens it provides to analyse how obstacles to effective inclusive education are embedded in all pedagogical spaces. Its significance also lies in the dissemination of this research within a major journal in the field of qualitative methodology.
