Additional information

'Investigative Journalism: Context and Practice' was substantially revised for the second edition in 2008. Lashmar was approached by the book's editor, Professor de Burgh, to provide a chapter on investigative journalism and the war on terror for this edition. A number of chapters from the first edition were dropped to make way for new material. The commissioned chapter was written and edited in 2008 and included in the second edition which was published on 28 May 2008. The material deals with material that all post-dates the first edition including 9/11, War on Terror, 7/7 and rendition.
