Douglas-Cowie is the area editor for the section on Data and Databases in this book and contributor to the four chapters (refereed) which it contains. She led the workpackage on Data and Databases within the HUMAINE Project (EU funded interdisciplinary research project on affective computing) which resulted in this book. Douglas-Cowie is sole author of the editiorial and final HUMAINE Database chapter; she drafted early versions of the other 3 chapters which were then reworked by the authors listed and finalised by her.
