Additional information
Dr Copland drew on her primary research on pre-service initial teacher training in English language teaching carried out in 2007 with 4 interviewees. She brings her original empirical interview data and her contribution to the article focuses on Goffmanian approaches to analysing research interviews in terms of frame and footing.
Garton and Copland worked entirely collaboratively on the remainder of the article, jointly writing background and discussion sections. They consider this to be a joint output in every respect.
