Additional information

Paper demonstrates several novel antenna designs from a new concept behind the invisibility cloak by the transformation of space in suitable materials. The research has led to a five-year EPSRC programme grant "QUEST" of £4.5M awarded in 2011 to Hao as a PI, in order to take the next big step of using the insights of theory to produce practical devices. This work has also led to a paper in Nature/Scientific Reports (doi:10.1038/srep01903), a nomination of BAE System Chairman's Award, several EU and industrial grants aimed at increasing the sensor capability of aeronautic platforms.
