Additional information

This volume is an outcome of the research Paddy Bullard (research fellow) and McLaverty (principal investigator) had undertaken on the AHRC project to support the Cambridge Works of Jonathan Swift and to create a Swift archive that provided full knowledge of Swift’s book-trade history and texts, and settled the topics to be covered. The introduction includes original research on Swift and on the English and Irish book trades. Mclaverty helped select and negotiate with contributors, and dealt with half the submitted essays, checking, making supplementary suggestions, and in one case arranging permissions.
