Adil’s multimedia poetry performance (with music by Dr. S Kennedy and scenography by Dr. F Salihbegovic) explores contested Cypriot identities and memories. There have been two performances in Cyprus: at the SideStreets Cultural Centre (April 2011) and the ARTos Foundation (March 2012). It has also been presented as an installation at Tate Britain, London (November 2011). This submission is accompanied by a portfolio of supporting material: documentation of the performance; the curated site www.memorymap.org.uk; a poem with photographs in arteri issue 12-13, 2011; and Adil’s chapter Towards a poetics of the ‘Dead Zone’ of Nicosia in Memory and Nostalgia Eds. Silku et al, Ege University Press, 2009.
