Double-weighted statement

Provides an innovative, comprehensive, theoretical framework for reading test validation, which is then systematically applied to multiple versions of a suite of international high stakes English language tests. It shows where the tests are valid across an extensive range of criterial parameters. Weir was the sole author of Chapters 3-7 and co-authored Chapters 1,2 and 8 and the appendices. Deville's review in the Modern Language Journal 2011, 95/2: 334-335 states: "... In summary, this volume represents an important contribution to the field in terms of both theory and practice”. It was runner up in the 2012 Sage/ILTA triennial award for books on language testing.
