Additional information

This paper establishes a new methods for nanofabrication. In collaboration with the departments of Electrical Engineering and Biology at the University of Leeds, the work demonstrates an approach to direct the assembly of nanomaterials using surface-tethered helical peptides, mimicking biological self-assembly. This manuscript was highlighted by the editors for its potential significance and broad relevance and was selected for the cover image and as the featured article. The work resulted in an EPSRC funded PhD studentship focussed on novel electronic devices using helical peptides.
