Deriving Information Requirements from Responsibility Models
<09>Innovation: Previous socio-technical systems research focused heavily on analysis of existing systems. This paper is the first to demonstrate the construction of new information systems based on analytical models of a socio-technical system. The paper demonstrates how functional system requirements can be generated from the model.
Rigour: The method is demonstrated through an in-depth, real world case study of information system development for civil contingency management.
Impact: The paper was published in an established (two decades+) top ranked information systems conference with an acceptance rate of 16%. The paper has been well cited in the literature.
