Double-weighted statement

This work involved the collection and analysis of a considerable body of recently released and declassified archival material from a range of archives in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Overall, the production of the book entailed the generation of a particularly extensive and original thesis which challenges existing notions of British subservience to the United States in the Middle East in the era of decolonization.
