Additional information

The computational system which underpins the approach was taken up on a trial basis by the Merck company in New Jersey as a trial for an in house model curation system. The work led to an invitation to give the plenary lecture on ‘the Role of Computer Aided Process Engineering in Physiology and Clinical Medicine’ at the 19th European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering. The work led to an invitation from the Ministerial Industry Scientific Group of the UK Department of Health’s Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency to address the agency on the use of Systems Biology in the approval of drugs related to liver disease and other conditions.
