Additional information

Path flow reassignment/swapping is a key component of algorithms for dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) but there is no consensus as to best methods. This paper therefore tests and compares several methods that have been used or proposed, and derives useful conclusions. This paper was a key output from research projects on which Carey was PI, namely a 3-year project funded by the Irish HEA (Higher Education Authority) and Irish National Development Plan (NDP), also supported by EPSRC grants EP/COO7913 and EP/G051879.
