The results in the paper have contributed in the award to Lestas as PI of an EPSRC first grant scheme award (EP/I033975/1, start date 16 Oct 2011) of value GBP123,111, entitled: "Scalability and robustness in large scale networks and fundamental performance limits".

The significance of this work was also recognized through an offer to Lestas for an Assistant Professor tenure track faculty position at McGill University (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) in April 2011.
