Professor Prytherch is employed by Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust as a Consultant Clinical Scientist. His role is in the development of projects to further the Trust's research goals in the area of clinical outcome modelling, and particularly related to the gathering and analysis of vital signs data electronically.
From 2001-2006, he was seconded by PHT to the University (50% FTE) to work in (what is now called) the Centre for Healthcare Modelling and Informatics, and that relationship has continued to this day. From 2006-2008 he was a co-investigator (with Dr Jim Briggs) on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with The Learning Clinic Ltd. He was made a Visiting Professor in 2011.
