Core algorithmic development for a key enabling methodology with potential impacts across a range of applications and disciplines. This paper was awarded the 2009 IET Science, Measurement and Technology premium. Technology transfer of this work is one of the major objectives of a recent TSB project, "Innovative Computational Electromagnetics and Novel Integration Technologies" in conjunction with BAE SYSTEMS, MIRA, Bombardier, Transcendata (an international CAD software company) and the University of Liverpool.
