This work, and that reported in the related [Appl Phys Lett 95(2009)242903], led to Kar-Narayan's 5-year Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship. The work led to Kar-Narayan being commissioned by Nature Materials to write a review on caloric materials (now submitted), to her invited book chapter in “Electrocaloric Materials” (Springer 2013), and underpinned the filing of a patent (French patent 12 57586, 2012). A recent major review [Annu Rev Mater Res 41(2011)1] labelled this work a “breakthrough” in the field of electrocalorics, describing it as seminal in “revitalizing” the field.
